A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE VISCOUS COUPLINGS REGARDING THEIR BASIC PARAMETERS

Abstract. This paper intends to analyze the thermohydrodynamic regime for distinct geometries of the active elements of a viscous coupling. The comparative study is performed by aid of a CFD code. This method allows the establishment of some important running parameters of the viscous coupling such as the loading capacity, the viscosity of the operating fluid and the fundamental design dimensions of the transmission.
