NUMERICAL RESOLUTION OF ELASTIC CONTACT PROBLEM BY INFLUENCE COEFFICIENT MATRIX INVERSION

Abstract. The elastic contact problem is solved numerically by influence coefficient matrix inversion. Two types of mesh, two methods of influence coefficients computation, two models for pressure system generation, five contact geometries and eight numerical methods for pressure systems resolution and solution refining were investigated and the results compared. A good agreement with either analytical or numerical published data was found.
